Sam Michiels – KU Leuven

Sam Michiels is WP1 leader in the project.

He is Industrial Research Manager within the DistriNet research group of the Dept. of Computer Science at KU Leuven. He has more than 15 years of experience in industry collaboration, especially in the domain of distributed and secure embedded software (e.g. for the Internet-of-Things or Cyber-Physical Systems). Apart from coaching PhD researchers, his main responsibilities are to establish and maintain close relationships with local and international industry partners, acquire industrial R&D funding, and transfer mature research results to industry.
